Extract sprites at their original size.
Set the frame size, check the cuts, then download transparent PNGs.
Free · No account · No watermark · Images stay on your device
Slice, inspect, download
Drop or paste a PNG, JPG or WebP. Up to 20 MiB, 24 megapixels and 16,384 px per side.
Source & selected cuts
Orange outlines show selected frames. Offset, spacing and incomplete edge pixels are excluded. Exported frames have no outlines or labels.

DownloadHow to cut a sprite sheet into separate images
Choose a uniform sprite sheet
Load a PNG, JPG or WebP with equal-sized frame cells. PNG is a useful choice for transparent game sprites. Images stay on your device.
Set frame size or grid
If you know the frame size, enter its width and height in pixels. Otherwise enter rows and columns. Set the left and top offsets and the horizontal and vertical gaps so cut outlines match the source frames.
Check every frame
Inspect the extracted frame previews. Select row order, column order or reverse row order. Start and count let you export one consecutive animation range. Any unused pixels on the right or bottom are reported before export.
Download the PNGs
Create all frames and download the ZIP, or save individual PNG files. Names include the selected sequence number and original row and column. Frames retain their pixel dimensions and alpha transparency.
Sprite sheet slicer: spacing and offset example
The built-in example has four columns and two rows of 32 × 32 sprites. A 4 px border and 2 px gaps make the sheet 142 × 74 pixels: 4 + (4 × 32) + (3 × 2) + 4 wide, and 4 + (2 × 32) + 2 + 4 high.
Use frame size 32 × 32, left/top offset 4 and horizontal/vertical gaps 2. The first frame starts at (4, 4); the second starts at (38, 4). The 4 px right and bottom borders are excluded. Set the offset to 0 for sheets with no outer border.
Sprite sheet splitter questions
Does this handle packed texture atlases?
This sprite cutter handles a uniform rectangular grid. It does not read atlas JSON, rotated sprites or irregularly packed rectangles. Use your atlas metadata in a compatible editor for those layouts.
Will frames be resized or lose their transparent background?
No resizing or background is added to PNG output. The checkerboard is a preview only. Cut outlines and numbers are not included in downloaded frames. Preview canvases can be scaled for display while downloads retain the original selected dimensions. PNG uses lossless output encoding, but browser image decoding and canvas processing can normalize color profiles and RGB values in nearly transparent pixels.
Why do I see leftover edge pixels?
Only complete frames are extracted. In size mode, unused right/bottom pixels stay outside the cut rectangles. In grid mode, frame dimensions are rounded down to whole pixels and the remainder is reported. Check these values before exporting.
Can I skip empty cells at the end?
Yes. Set Count to the number of frames you need. Start and Count follow the chosen frame order. This is a manual selection; empty cells are not detected or removed automatically.
Is this spritesheet splitter free?
Yes, with no account or watermark. Up to 256 frames per sheet layout and 128 MiB of exported PNG data. Source files must be PNG, JPG or WebP up to 20 MiB, 24 megapixels and 16,384 px per side. Animated source images are treated as a still frame.
