Your sheets, in assembly order
Dashed outlines show the printable area. The PDF has small crop marks outside the image and row/column labels in the margins.

DownloadHow to print a large image on multiple pages
Load the full image
Choose a JPG, PNG or WebP. No upload or account is needed. Use a high-resolution original: spreading a small image over more sheets cannot create more detail.
Set paper and poster size
Pick A4 or US Letter, portrait or landscape, and the number of sheets across. Set a margin your printer supports and an overlap for alignment. The preview shows every page, finished image dimensions and effective DPI.
Download the multipage PDF
Each page uses the correct physical paper size. The image is embedded at its decoded source resolution without additional lossy compression. Transparent regions become white. The last row can contain blank space where the image ends.
Print and assemble
Choose the same paper size in your PDF viewer. Print at 100% or Actual size, with “Fit to page” disabled. Trim one mating edge along the crop marks, align the repeated picture in the overlap, then tape the sheets together in row and column order.
Tiled printing on A4 or Letter paper
Tiled printing spreads one picture across several ordinary sheets. This block poster maker creates the pages at the selected paper size, with overlapping image areas to help you line them up. The printer does not need a large-format paper tray.
A four-page A4 example
With two A4 portrait sheets across, 10 mm margins and 5 mm overlap, the image is 375 mm wide: 190 + 190 − 5 mm. A 1500 × 2000 image becomes 375 × 500 mm, uses four pages and prints at about 102 DPI. The tool shows these calculations before you export.
To print an image on multiple pages, start with two sheets across, A4 portrait, 10 mm margins and 5 mm overlap. Rows follow the image proportions automatically. With US Letter and the same settings, two sheets give a 386.8 mm-wide image; check the preview again when changing paper.
Printing questions
Can I split a picture across exactly four pages?
Choose two sheets across, then check the automatically calculated rows. The 1500 × 2000 example above uses two rows on A4 portrait. Very tall images need more rows; use a wider source or landscape paper if that better suits your picture. The tool keeps the original aspect ratio.
Does this create a real PDF or separate image tiles?
A single PDF with one A4 or Letter page per sheet. It includes outside crop marks, page numbers, rows and columns. If you need separate image files instead, use the image splitter.
How much overlap should I use?
5 mm is a useful starting point; choose 0–20 mm. The overlap repeats image content across adjacent sheets for alignment. It is not an extra white border. Choose zero only if you intend to butt trimmed edges together.
Why does my print look smaller?
Your PDF viewer or printer may have scaled the page to fit. Select the same paper size, use Actual size / 100%, and turn off automatic fitting. Printable margins vary by printer; use a margin that your device can print reliably.
Is this free? What are the limits?
Free, no account and no watermark. JPG, PNG or WebP inputs are limited to 20 MiB, 24 megapixels and 16,384 px per side. Up to 10 columns and 100 pages; the PDF is limited to 128 MiB. Animation becomes a still frame. This tool takes an image, not an existing PDF.
Can I use this for a precise physical template?
The PDF uses physical dimensions, but your viewer and printer control the final output. For templates that require exact measurements, measure a printed reference before cutting or assembly.
