ONE CONTINUOUS IMAGE · ONE SWIPEABLE STORY

Instagram Carousel Splitter

Turn a panorama into slides that flow together.
Frame it once, check the sequence, then download every slide.

  1. Choose the complete picture

Use one panorama or an exported wide design. The practice image is an original 5400 × 1350 illustration: at five 4:5 slides, each output is 1080 × 1350.

  2. Pick the framing

Keep full image adds padding around the entire strip. Crop to fill removes the edges outside the outlined frame. Both preserve proportions; neither stretches the image.

  3. Preview the sequence

Every slide comes from the same continuous strip. Move through the preview to check that text and faces land where you want them. The preview is reduced for display; files use the output size shown.

  4. Download in order

Extract the ZIP, then select images 001, 002 and onward in one carousel post. Inspect the destination app’s final crop before publishing. This tool does not upload or post for you.

Crop to fill or keep the full image?

Crop to fill

Best when every slide should be filled edge to edge. The source is cropped once to the combined shape of all slides, then resized and split. Use the positioning controls to keep the important part of the photo.

Keep full image + padding

Best when no part of your artwork should be removed. The complete image is resized to fit inside the combined strip, with the chosen background around it. Very narrow images may leave some slides mostly background.

For five 1080 × 1350 slides without either cropping or padding, start with a 5400 × 1350 image. Plan your source dimensions.

Is this a carousel splitter or an Instagram profile grid maker?

This makes a left-to-right sequence for one multi-image post. It does not arrange separate posts into a profile grid or simulate profile thumbnails. Use the general image splitter for a plain rows-and-columns grid.

Can I split a Canva design into slides?

Yes. Export the wide design as PNG, then choose the same slide count here. If you want to preserve original pixels without resizing or adding a background, follow the Canva image splitting guide with the general splitter.

Will the image lose quality?

This tool may resize your image to match the selected slide dimensions. PNG avoids another lossy encoding step; JPEG and WebP use 90% quality. Enlarging a small source cannot restore detail. The general splitter preserves the original pixel dimensions of each region when resizing is not wanted.

Why is the background no longer transparent?

The selected color fills padding and transparent areas in every output format. For transparent PNG tiles at their original size, use the general image splitter.

What sizes and files can I use?

Choose 2–10 slides, a 1:1, 4:5 or 3:4 shape, and a width of 720 or 1080 px. These are tool presets, not a promise about every app’s display. Inputs are JPG, PNG or WebP up to 20 MiB, 24 megapixels and 16,384 px per side. Animated images are treated as a still frame; video, GIF, PDF and Canva editing links are not supported.

Are the photos uploaded? Can I use this without an account?

No account is needed. Images, previews and ZIPs are processed in your browser. The example is downloaded from this site. Optional analytics are explained in the Privacy Policy; they do not include images or filenames.

Why did my downloads disappear after changing a setting?

Downloads belong to one image and layout. Changing either clears the old files immediately. Create the slides again to download the current version.

Already have the right dimensions?

The general image splitter cuts at the original pixel size. For a wide Canva export, use the worked five-slide guide. ImageSplitKit is independent and is not affiliated with Instagram, Meta or Canva.
